I saw the Sign

I have written about the CCP's manoeuvres since many months ago. I've seen the writing on the wall. Of course, the cheerleaders were not pleased and went berserk. Even some of my (misguided) good friends were conned by the CCP's propaganda and became rather personal in their response.
I kept repeating (failed miserably) that the CCP is = not Chinese people. The CCP is an EVIL and repressive dictator. It's skewered Leninist philosophy from about 100 years ago was based on the suppression of the free will of its people. No matter how much you sugar coat it's "success" (the cheerleaders throw me statistics on all the great accomplishments of the CCP thinking I am obtuse or something not to know), it remains an insidious power-hungry tyrant. Emperor Xi now rules for life - tell me, if indeed it was "opening up" to the world, why would the President make himself a "for life" ruler. This is what kings and dictators do. Democracy will dictate that a (wo)man is given a limited period of time to rule the country. (Ok, don't start on Malaysia, that's another story....).
And since 2007 (or that's when I woke up to their scheme) or so, China has been covertly conducting economic hegemony. All the "economic aid" to 3rd world countries come with heavy terms, including in Malaysia when they partnered CROOKs to rip off the Rakyat. Their behaviour in many countries is repulsive. In Australia, they cleaned out baby products.....no Chinese mother in China will feed her babies China made milk. In Africa, they call the locals "monkeys". They flooded the world with fake goods (the consumers are also to blame as they wanted it cheap) and endangered the health of people. The list goes on, I'm NOT going to elaborate on this. Just Google.
I go back to my warning of the threat Communism has become. This may be another Bay of Pigs folks. Let's not say the US is without fault....the recent police killing is among the 1000 things that are wrong in the US. But this president, for all his quirkiness, faux paxs and sometimes, spoonerisms, has BALLS. He dares to call a spade a spade. Granted, he comes across badly to us, and as a boon to the cheerleaders (I'm sure you too would have received hundreds of clips on his "mistakes") and that means , he is doing the right thing - at least when it comes to the CCP. I have said it publicly before (and have a few bets running), that he will be re-elected for another term come November. Some say he is "China-bashing" to dance to the tune of the rednecks....well, if he is, he's quite a smart politician. It's dog eat dog anyway.
I did say to some cheerleaders, ask yourself if push comes to shove and you have to leave Malaysia or Singapore (where most of them live now), where would you immigrate to if the choices were only USA or China. No need to guess where these parochialist hypocrites will go to.
I am glad that Mr. Policeman of the world is there to guard the security of the world. It's the lesser evil indeed.

When the US and ultimately the rest of the Western world began to engage China, resulting in China finally being allowed into the World Trade Organization in the early 2000s, no one really expected the outcomes we see today.

CUT LOSS NOW AND REBUILD EELAM ELSEWHERE

There was a time when I thought there was hope for the Tamils in Ceylon. That was one government ago. I have been in the global effort to bring justice for the 100,000 Tamils killed by the SL Army since 2009 and am privy to a lot of information since then. The doors have been closed for justice, one after another. I have lost hope over the past year. I don't usually surrender but on this, white flag.
To see mass murderers and thieves being voted back to power, it just shows the mentality of the majority Sinhalese people there. Even the UN mandated war crime remedial work has been chucked aside by the rascal Rajapakse family. The Sinhalese are unbridled now in their rampage.
They can ignore Western condemnations because the villain CCP will come to their support. As it is, the CCP owns many major assets there. The rest of the world is not interested in Sri Lanka. Not even India where there is serious historical connection and parochial sentiments.
Now this is a workable proposal for the Tamils of the world:
1. I suggest, all the Tamil billionaires and millionaires pool some funds to buy an island from a friendly nation, say about the size of Bali. (https://www.privateislandsonline.com/search…). Let's call this island Eelam.
2. Work out a scheme with the vendor nation for a high degree of autonomy with a view to self determination eventually. Maybe with UN help, craft in the new country management. The billionaires who funded this Eelam, can benefit from the building of the new nation, and will likely double their investment. I am happy to draw up a financial model. Nothing is impossible.
3. Offer all the Tamils (and anyone who wants to leave the oppressive regimes in selected countries) a residency in Eelam. There will be another need for funding to repatriate the say, 2 million people who will want to take up the offer. Of course, 90% of these Tamils will have to "cut-loss" in disposing their properties when leaving Sri Lanka. There is a price for freedom and security.
4. Offer residency rights to qualified Tamils worldwide to come work, live and develop Eelam. I am pretty sure, many Tamils will take up this offer. Afterall, huge opportunities will exist in a captive market of 2 million people in an island. Imagine Singapore, Taiwan and HK some 70 years ago. In fact, invite the planners from these countries to come build a new country. Israel would be a good country to learn from.
5. When the right infra is in, elect the official government democratically. A government that is clean and capable, like Singapore's. Many Tamils in Canada, Sweden, Australia, Norway, all who ran from the wars in Sri Lanka in the past 30 years, will seriously consider the opportunity to return to their "home" called Eelam.
5. In about 20 to 30 years, Eelam will be another world beater. I have no doubt of that. Contrast this with banging the Tamils' head in Ceylon for another 20 years. I'm sorry to say, I do not believe Sri Lanka will allow Tamils to live in peace ever. That paradise is gone. Cut the loss now for future generations.
It is time for a new colony called Eelam.
Of course, I will volunteer in the building of the Eelam.
Think about this seriously.

Malaysia in the next 9 months

About nine months ago, I predicted what would happen within 90 days if Pakatan Harapan (PH) fell from power. Sadly, for me and I believe, many Malaysians, this terrible calamity befell us in March 2020, barely 22 months after holding office.

I do not wish to belabour the rights and wrongs of Pakatan Nasional (PN) taking power, as some say, by the back door. I think the Rakyat knows what went right and wrong, most found wrongs in the manner in which PH ran the politics. I would summarize it as being over-confident and not guarding all doors, front and back, from an attack. As Sun Tzu said, "Keep your friends close, your enemies even closer". PH and we, the Rakyat too, didn't know our enemy.

PN has, as any new government, made rules, amended codes, parlayed favours and has done everything in it's power, to remain in power until the next general election. These favours include awarding plum contracts to friends during this MCO, creating insipid political positions and appointing power-brokers from component parties to lucrative positions in government / controlled companies as payback for loyalty. And, without surprise, it has appointed it's favoured candidates to positions of authority in the system of government and governance - in all 3 branches in the management of the country. This is no surprise at all: Tunku did it first, and Tun made an art of it. Afterall, as the Brits say "Jobs for the boys". To the victor, the spoils.

The Rakyat is totally confused as to the machinations of the ruling elite. Our political intrigues defeat any Hollywood/Bollywood whodunnits. The daily shenanigans are just mind-boggling and often, fodder for the rumour hungry public. At times, it is material for a comedian....and in our case, enough to last several seasons. Keep the masses occupied as they say.

So what can we expect in the next 9 months (I'm using this tenure because my last political predictions rolled out within less than 9 months of making them). I'm listing my thoughts loosely as follows:

1. MCO or whatever name it's called, will be extended to end of June 2020 or July 2020 with stricter movement control orders. The Covid pandemic will still be around and wreaking havoc worldwide. Malaysia will fall into recession by end of 2020,

2. I expect the Speaker to resign soon while the EC Chairman would probably be replaced in due course. Heads of other democratic institutions will be replaced with candidates seen as friendly to PN,

3. Parliament will sit in July 2020 but no unfriendly motions (to PN) will be allowed by the new speaker (likely the Deputy Speaker now). The entire proceedings will not be telecast live and finish early - there will be absolutely no surprises,

4. There will be a mutiny within PKR with many leaving for UMNO. Similarly, there will be departures from Bersatu making it even weaker. Tun may resign from politics if he lives beyond 2021. Anwar's fate is very dicey too. In the end, Bersatu's power will be nominal while UMNO will be the decision maker in most PN (and government) decisions,

5. Most legal cases involving component parties' leaders will be settled in a non punitive manner with nobody receiving a disqualifying sentence (to run in the next elections). Almost all judges on high profile cases will be promoted, retired or transferred and new judges will be assigned to those cases. Many of these cases will be dismissed or the accused found innocent. When this happens, PN will find a lucrative position for them. I expect to see Zahid Hamidi and Ku Nan in senior ministerial roles before GE15. It is very possible for Zahid to become Deputy Prime Minister again,

6. All peninsula states except Penang will be under PN until GE15, which may be called in 2021. Before that, a redelineation exercise will likely be conducted to create more seats, likely in Putrajaya, Perlis, Kelantan and Trengganu,

7. Criminal and/or civil suits will be brought against a few PH leaders and I expect Guan Eng, Tommy and Khalid Samad to be affected. There will be election eligibility disqualification (as a result of the conviction) of a couple of PH ministers/MPs before GE15,

8. Several mega projects will be awarded (or revived) and China will be (re)invited to build virtually everything at super-inflated prices. I had forecast this before and I believe, this will happen again. Relationship with India will likely be colder than now,

9. MCMC (or a new ministry) will pass (or put into strict effect) electronic media controls that will be similar to what is seen in non democratic countries. Essentially, it will be an offence to transmit materials exposing corruption. Laws will be enacted to ensure that there is tighter, if not absolute, control of the media. Most media will tone down the rhetoric and toe the official line, and

10. Zakir Naik's extradition to India will be strenuously fought by Malaysia, with the possibility of making him a citizen as a means to thwart the warrant.

I have more but will stop at these for now. As it is, a frightening prospect indeed.  I will end with Sun Tzu's advice - "Who wishes to fight must first count the cost”.
